 Otto Environmental Systems US Headquarters
Otto introduced its injection molded containers in the U.S. market in 1983. In 1988 Otto invested $40 million in a new North American production facility to meet product demand. Otto in 1992 began producing cart lifters to better meet the automated collection service needs of its customers. Rapid customer acceptance of Otto’s Multi-System Design (MSD) containers and accelerated market demand for product necessitated production capacity be expanded even further. As a result, Otto opened its second manufacturing plant in Eloy, Arizona, in 2002 to improve lead times, enhance distribution and better control freight costs. Otto’s leadership in the U.S. market is demonstrated by its selection for use in waste and recycling collection programs nationwide. Cities across North America such as Minneapolis, Plano, Charlotte, Boise, Salt Lake City, Memphis, Kauai, Cheyenne, Saskatoon, and Waterford use Otto containers for their refuse collection.
